The writer Virginia Woolf in Sicily

The British writer visited the island, appreciated its beauty, food, wine and the warm welcome of its inhabitants. She lived a short and magical period in Sicily
When Woolf arrived in Sicily by train in April 1927, with her husband Leonard, after having been in France and Rome, she had recently cut her hair, considering it the most important event in her life.

The writer is 45 years old, she has already published four novels, many short stories and numerous articles, and she will remain on the island for several days, from 9 to 15 April, moving between Palermo and Syracuse.
For Virginia "Sicily is a Greek strip on Italian soil".
